Who Needs an Armenia Visa from the UAE?
UAE Citizens
Emirati passport holders can travel to Armenia visa-free and stay for up to 180 days.
UAE Residents
UAE residents holding a valid residence permit are also exempt from a visa for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period, whether traveling for tourism, leisure, or business.
Armenia Entry Rules & Visa Policy Update
Armenia introduced visa-free travel for UAE citizens in 2017, followed by Qatar in 2019 and Kuwait in 2022. Expanding this policy further, from 1 July 2025, all GCC residents will be eligible for visa-free entry to Armenia for short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
Documents Required for Travel to Armenia

- Valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry
- Passport presentation at immigration upon arrival
For UAE Residents
- Valid passport with minimum 6 months validity
- GCC/UAE residence permit valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
- Certified translation of the residence permit into English or Armenian if it is issued only in Arabic
